If your team is not a State recognized SAR team and would like to become one, contact James Newberry, NM State SAR Resource Officer, 505-827-9228 or james.newberry@state.nm.us. Becoming a recognized SAR team will get your team listed in the NM State SAR Resource Directory. This Directory is used by SAR Incident Commanders when calling out teams to respond to SAR missions.
Resources
To conduct search and rescue operations in the state, the following teams have been listed with the state resource officer. The list is provided to allow prospective applicants to affiliate as members of a search and rescue team. Do not call a team directly to initiate a mission: Call the nearest NM State Police district to have a SAR field coordinator dispatched.
You can click on the name of a search team to be redirected to their website, where the team has a website. If the team has no website, no link is provided.
An Asterisk (*) indicates team membership in the Council. Individual members are not listed; feel free to contact any Board member if you have questions.
